The Columbia BI was a higher-end disc phonograph that was tough competition for the Victor company. Made of golden oak with fancy curved corner columns, this model had a number of elegant features not offered on the Victor product: carrying handle, turntable dust ring, and reproducer needle clamp. The horn is a nickel-plated petal horn in average condition with only mild wear to the panels. The horn is otherwise unbent and undinged and presents very well. Turntable felt has likely been replaced, case is refinished with a new GRAPHOPHONE decal. Motor has been rebuilt and lubricated and is powerful enough to play several records at a time.
